The moment you arrive at Phoenix Lodge, you’ll be struck by its stunning location. Perched on the edge of a tranquil lake, the Nottinghamshire glamping lodge offers breathtaking views for you to wake up to in the morning and watch throughout the day in the open-plan living area. Plus, you’ll have your own private patio area to relax, unwind, and enjoy the fresh air!
If you enjoy fishing, then a stay at Phoenix Lodge is the perfect place for you. With free and unlimited access to the lake, you can sit out for as long as you desire, with the luxury of returning to the lodge when you want a break. It’s also great for your partner to relax in peace whilst you enjoy a fishing holiday, if it’s not their thing.
As well as fishing, you can also take advantage of open-water swimming, paddleboarding, and rowing. The lake is yours to enjoy and the lodge's surroundings are a haven for nature lovers, with abundant opportunities for other outdoor activities like hiking, bird watching, leisurely countryside strolls, and cycling. If you don’t want to bring a bike with you, there is bike hire available for guests.

History enthusiasts can visit Newark Castle, a stunning 12th-century fortress with beautiful gardens and a fascinating Civil War history. The town's market square hosts regular markets where you can shop for local produce, antiques, and crafts. Art and culture lovers will enjoy the National Civil War Centre, which offers engaging exhibits and interactive displays. There are also events taking place at The Palace Theatre and Newark Showground throughout the year, and you’re sure to find something that takes your fancy. Or, for a more relaxing experience, take a stroll along the River Trent.
